14.(A) The Version Michael Davidson Told in England (Listen & Read)
|
|
Amanda Darling from the
magazine "Here in England" interviewed the perfect gentleman and said that
indeed there was something especial about Michael Davidson. Kate Andersen
was obviously convinced of that when, in an interview, she assured that
rather than a butler, she considered him a friend. After five years in Miss
Anderson's Hollywood home, Michael Davidson is the man that all the stars
are talking about. He admitted to Amanda that he was sorry that he'd had to
come home, of course, something which is obvious when you watch him go
through the many photographs which still remind him of his happy years in
Florida. He insisted during the interview that Miss Anderson is a perfect
lady and that working for her had been a pleasure. When she asked Michael
about the rest of the family, Michael assured Amanda that it was true that
Kate's children had always called him 'Uncle Michael' and said that they
were great children, all of them. Amanda couldn't resist asking him if he
had had a favourite, to which Michael replied that Miss Hanna and he both
adored animals, just like Kate Andersen herself, which had always given him
something in common with Hanna, although he went on to say that young
Russell had always treated him as part of the family too. When questioned
about Kate's husband, James, Michael showed why he was so appreciated by
Kate Andersen, showing absolute discretion and saying that their separation
had caught everyone by surprise and that the situation had been handled very
elegantly by all parties involved. Michael assured that they seemed to make
a perfect couple. Michael concluded by saying that the Andersens had been a
wonderful family to work for, but that Ms Andersen had decided that she
needed a break and since she was not sure when she would return from her
trip round the world, he decided to come home. He declined to comment on any
'vile' rumours that Ms Andersen was being accompanied on her trip by Wall
Street stock broker Jack N. Harrison. |
