I believe students should all get summer jobs abroad. They shouldn't just stay at home during their school break. After my holiday job in Spain I wish I had gone abroad even earlier than I did. I wish I could describe how beautiful Spain is. And luckily I had a fabulous job. The cabin cruisers that would go from one Island to another all have tour guides and a Spanish friend got me the job as one of them for the summer vacation. I really had to know three languages like the Spanish tour guides but because I spoke English and German they accepted me for the job.

I should have also bought my own uniform but I just borrowed one. I committed a lot of errors but nobody got upset. On the first day I shouldn't have started welcoming the guests and giving the announcements until the cabin cruiser left, but I did and the guests got all the information too soon. And something else, when we reached the island, I should have said, "Please be back on the boat at 3 pm." But I said, "4 pm" and fifteen tourists were taken back by the next boat! I wish it had been possible to extend my stay in Spain. And I wish I had made a big improvement in learning Spanish. It's not an easy language. But I'll get back soon.
