Oir WMA4. (A) planning a new business (Listen & Read)

A: Ugh. What's this? These sandwiches are absolutely horrible!
B: They certainly are, aren't they?
A: I mean, just take a look at this sandwich here. Dry bread, only a thin layer of filling. I don't call that real food.
B: Do you know what we should do?
A: What?
B: We should open up a sandwich shop.
A: Open a sandwich shop! You must be mad!
B: No, I'm not. I mean a superior and trendy sandwich shop wich sells a wide variety of good quality sandwiches.
A: Who would eat there?
B: You, me and thousands of office workers more, like us, every lunchtime.
A: That's not at all a bad idea, you know.
B: Yes, But how can we make the shop different?
A: Well, we could import bread from France every day.
B: That's a good idea. Everybody loves French bread. And we should only use French ingredients in our sandwiches like salmon, cold cuts, fresh herbs, mayonnaise and things like that.
A: People will pay a lot for something like that and we can have different prices according to the contents inside the sandwich.
B: No, I don't think we could ask for high prices if we want to attract customers. Our prices have to be lower than the restaurants or cafés in the area.
A: Yes, I suppose you're right. So what else could we do to attract people?
B: How about playing pop music in the shop? That'll bring the people in.
A: No, I don't agree. I don't think we should play that kind of music. It's not really the right image. Classical music would be much better, after all we don't want to scare the people away.
B: Yes, thinking about it, you're right. Hey... Why don't we have a look in the newspaper to see if there are any premises to rent near here?
A: Now, just hold on. Where are we going to get the finance? Where do you think the money is coming from?
B: Don't worry. Let's make an appointment with my bank manager for tomorrow.
